Data from the CleanTech Group revealed overall venture capital investment in North American water and wastewater is at its highest since the first half of 2008.

  • Total investments were 58 percent higher than in the second half of 2011.
  • The CleanTech Group said most of the venture capital deals in 2012 were for early-stage and late-stage companies. There have already been more late-stage round investments for water companies this year than in all of 2011.
